Robins is served by three excellent K-12 school districts that extend into Cedar Rapids, Marion and Alburnett. Attendance at the schools is determined by home address. Higher Education

Coe College

Coe College is a nationally recognized private liberal arts college founded in 1851. On its historic campus near the center of Cedar Rapids, students can choose from 50 undergraduate and 14 pre-professional programs. With an average class size of 16, Coe students have access to faculty members and are guaranteed an internship, research, or off-campus opportunity.

Mount Mercy University

Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928, Mount Mercy University is a private liberal arts university offering 45+ undergrad programs, 10+ evening or online programs, and 8 graduate programs. All of Mount Mercy’s incoming students receive scholarships or grants, and 97% of graduates find jobs or start graduate school within nine months of graduation. Located in northeast Cedar Rapids, the Mount Mercy campus boasts one of the highest points in the city.

Kirkwood Community College

Based in southwest Cedar Rapids with a location in the nearby Linn County Regional Center, Kirkwood Community College offers more than 130 majors and degree programs, including affordable two-year degrees, certifications, continuing education, and much more.

Upper Iowa University

Upper Iowa University-Cedar Rapids offers classes for associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. Self-paced online courses can be combined with in-person learning to allow students to tailor their studies to their schedules. Choose from programs in everything from business and accounting to criminal justice and graphic design.
